Asia
Asia is Ashoka’s birthplace, home to our two oldest programs – India and Indonesia. Over the past 25 years, from Pakistan in the west to Indonesia in the east, Ashoka’s Asia programs have identified nearly 600 leading social entrepreneurs in Asia, making this our largest region of activity in the world.
Ashoka Fellows in Asia are contributing to the cutting edge of citizen sector development as well as the regional and global stages in the advancement of economic development, education, women’s rights, healthcare and countless other fields.
Over the next several years, our operations in Asia will expand, with the launch of new programs in China and Southeast Asia.
